Otto (RB-0110) is the robotic Liaison of the CHIEF research vessel, the Solarian. He is also the player character in the game.
As a Liaison, Otto is tasked with keeping the ship in working order while it transports its human crew to their destination. 402.56 ticks into the Solarian's maiden voyage, disaster struck. Otto wakes to find himself rebooted with his core memory component missing; the Solarian is in a state of total disrepair.
Otto must calibrate the ship's sensors to determine just how far off course (and off schedule) the Solarian is and must take the necessary steps to fix the ship and its systems in order to finish his prime directive.
